See how a brain could help run your business
This is the guided tour. Scroll down, and the brain is explained one piece at a time:
inputs arrive, work gets done, you approve it, and finished work is delivered.
Your business, running as one system
This map looks busy, but it reads left to right, like a production line. Information comes in on the left, finished work comes out on the right, and you sit in the middle of it. In two very important places. On the left to set the goals & strategic direction of the business. On the right to approve (& fix) work the AI creates. Scroll to walk through it.
Inputs flow in
First, the raw material. Research is read and watched for you daily. Your business metrics are checked around the clock. Meetings are recorded, emails checked & passed in. You never feed the system by hand. And of course you can add more inputs as you need to.
Work is triggered
Work typically starts one of three ways: you have an idea, work happens on a set schedule, or something changes and the system notices. Strategic direction & the goals always come from you.
The system does the work
The AI plans the work, then creates it using everything it knows about you (your context, your rules and your preferences). When a process works well, it can be captured as a skill (an SOP for a machine), so the same work gets done the same way every time after that.
Nothing ships without your approval
Every piece of work stops at the approval gate and waits for you. You stay in charge of what goes out the door. Once you trust the AI enough, you can allow some work to skip this step so you're not the bottleneck.
Not good enough? Send it back.
This loop is what makes the work good. If a draft misses the mark, you say why and the system tries again with your feedback. Better still, you can fix the system rather than the one piece of work, and every future bit of work improves.
Finished outputs
What comes out the other side is finished work. Examples are shown, but this isn't a full list: reports, dashboards, emails, posts, pages, images, even video and audio. Real artefacts you would otherwise make by hand, done to your standard.
Trust grows in levels
You begin by asking the AI for small tasks and teaching it about you. As you provide more context, work improves. Level 3 is when working processes get captured as skills. Level 4 is when you stop creating work one piece at a time & build the system that does the work. This is your AI Brain.
Levels 5 and 6: getting more advanced
Later, work you have defined clearly can be machine-approved against rules & guidelines you provide. And a self-improving system fixes its own system after every run. Both are optional, as you build trust in the system, you'll move up through the levels.
That's the brain
Your inputs, your rules, your approval, its work. Members get a 'level 4' brain out of the box. I describe it as a 'sapling'. It's flexible, but also not fully formed. You grow your brain over time the way YOU want it to work. And as you trust it more & more you'll implement levels 5 & 6.
What is the brain, actually?
Under the hood it is refreshingly simple: a folder of plain files. Your context (what your business is, who you serve, how you like things done), your rules, and your skills, which are step-by-step instructions for jobs done well. An AI assistant reads those files and does the work. Because it is all just files you own, you can read every part of it, change anything, and take it with you. You grow it one piece at a time, and nobody needs to build this whole map in a weekend.
